Music at The Community
Our worship music draws from a wide variety of styles and traditions, with songs recreated in an acoustic, indie-folk/pop style.
In addition to a few traditional hymns and favorite worship tunes, we intentionally seek out new music that reflects our welcome statement and approaches the deeper matters of life with honesty.
Focusing on a collaborative approach, various musicians participate each week with leadership shared between several individuals. The whole effort is coordinated by Paul Wesselink.

Share Your Soul Song
Music opens doors to spiritual and human connections that aren't accessible through language alone. In order to build these connections among us, the band wants to play your Soul Songs on Sunday mornings.
What is a soul song? A song (from any genre) that resonates with you, moves you, or evokes a deeply meaningful memory.
The purpose of Soul Songs is to build bridges for connection within the congregation - to get to know the folks in our community from a different vantage point. It's like the Christian practice of sharing a personal testimony - but the music would do most of the talking.
